That's one hell of a sweet car. I wish mine was convertible.

Harms.. That blue GC is an example of a rare car. There were only 66 (70) GC verts with a 383 (4bbl) auto. If it was a 4 spd (383 4bbl) vert - there were 18....  If it was a 3 spd (383 4bbl) GC vert ----- there were only 2......  making it the rarest combo for all of the E-bodies...........

cjm, yea, that is pretty much why it was restored back to original rather than cloning it to a Cuda of some kind. You don't know how tempting it was for him to add a Shaker Hood, a dual cut out rear valance and bright tips, and some 15 x 7 Rallye wheels, I guess my "purist" roots ended up being enough of an influence on my uncle for him to keep it stock.

The real shame (for him anyway) is that when the market tanked back in the early 90's he paniced and sold it to a dealer for 14K (Yes, 14K in this condition!). He paid 10K for the rolling shell at the peak of the market back in the late 80's, put around 35K in it to restore it (which did not include all of my free labor), then dumped it for 14K! Goes to show you that you never know when it comes to values. He's flat out sick over it now with the prices they currently bring.

I think mine is somewhat rare, everything is completely number matching.Trunk, hood, doors and fenders are getting painted now,the roller will follow soon.It still has the original am/8 track in the dash with the doobie bros in it,lol.I wish it had some more options but all i really cared about was the numbers and 383hp.Its one of 674
