I don't know if I should be more scared of the pimp costume thing, or the fact that you knew exactly which episode of the Brady Bunch was being discussed...

Matt,

The only thing to be scared of this year is "mopar-or-no-car" if she shows up again.  :poopoke:

Lat I knew she got a plane ticket to Maryland to come and visit you!  If I stop her can I be at the top of your Christmas list? (Only if that means I get a Cuda or something, LOL)

Hey, my name is Ed and I am the Event Manager for the Carlisle All-Chrysler Nationals and trust me, we will not be pimping anything at the show!  To put your minds at ease, I am a diehard Mopar guy and have been attending EVERY Chrysler show at Carlisle since the first one.  I consider myself an average Mopar nut and am planning a show for the masses.

If you've been to the web site in the last couple of days you will see that Don Garlits is going to be here this year with Swamp Rat VIII (www.carlisleevents.com).

With regard to the theme, Wing Cars and Convertibles, I don't think it will be too difficult getting 'verts but I am looking to get as many Wing Cars as possible with the intention of having the largest gathering of Daytonas and SuperBirds ever in one location!!  So, if you know of any, please send them our way  :1zhelp:

I also have a few significant e-bodies lined up
1968 Charger (3 yr old son has claimed it)
1968 Charger 383
1970 Dart Swinger 340 clone
1970 Barracuda convertible
1970 RoadRunner 383 auto
1970 'Cuda 383 4 spd
1971 Barracuda
1972 Duster
1973 Dart

I am going to be in heaven!!

Ed, it's great to have you on the forum!  We have been attending Carlisle as a "Club" for about 4 years now and it gets larger every year.  The show never disappoints.

It's good to be here.  Please don't be offended if I don't reply to posts right away - I'm probably busy with the show!  Yes, it is a full-time job and it keeps me busy.  Thanks for the kind words about the show.  I feel it is the best show, too and I will do my best to continue that tradition!

This is YOUR show, so please don't hesitate to tell me what you DON'T like about the event  :villagers:.  We can't please everyone but we do try  :2thumbs:.

Ed,

It is great to have you on board here!!  :bananasmi Welcome. Carlisle is fantastic.  :2thumbs: It gets better every year. As for any of that pimp talk, it is all directed at me. Just because I posted one measly photo of myself in costume.  :bricks1:  It's a running joke, that keeps on running.

As for any requests, can you keep the E-Bodies off of the hill like last year?   :dunno: Just teasing, but that was SWEET!!

You might want to get in touch with Ken Heckert. He knows Donnie Miller , he has a Limelight Green Superbird. Lance or Bill should have Ken's #. Tim Kirkpatrick in York as a Daytona ( he use to work at York Chrysler. Someone there should be able to contact him.

It's OK about the pimp joke.  I had been reading a bunch of the threads before I posted so I had some knowledge of the inside joke.

I understand about the "hill".  Nobody wants to be on it but we're all stuck with it until someone can find an economical way to remove it :clueless:.  Let's face it, this is a huge show with well over 2000 cars every year so space is at a premium.  The only truly fair method would be to rotate the location of the classes every year so that everybody has to do their "time on the hill".  But I gotta tell you, that would probably just about kill me :faint:.

The truth is that the Mopar hobby is built around the musclecars so they take center stage but somebody has to be on the hill and they aren't going to like it.  I think it would be easier to create world peace than to fix the Fun Field layout so that everybody is happy :thinkerg:
