OK, this is a dirty little story, so here we go.
The car was found as you see it in the photos. The car was originally EB3 light blue with a blue cloth interior and automatic transmission.
The VIN tag was taken from it, and the fellow was somehow able to get a title for it since the car had not been registered in several years. He bought a "donor" body and transfered the T/A VIN to it. He was also able to contact the person (in Canada) that has the matching numbers engine from the wreck. Whatever thr price was, it was too much so the same guy restamped the T/A VIN on another block. He also had a fake fender tag made for it. Somehow, the car caught the attention of MCG and they did a story on it. It was called something like the "Raspberry T/A".
The article caused an uproar because VIN swapping and rebodied cars are illegal.
