last question about headers
« on: November 28, 2006 - 05:11:22 AM »
hey guys/gals i was lookin at the hooker headers and it looks like you can get the ceramic coated ones thru hooker for about the same price as the nickel plated thru tti. Any pros cone for hooker over tti? the tti ones say once they get hot they will turn blue/purple. I would like to get the ones the fit the best but if hooker and tti are the same then i can get ones that will look nice for the same price. any feedback would be appreciated. thanks again

How's this for another option. Buy the cheaper non-coated ones and then have them powder coated. Had a friend that did this on his Harley and the pipe still looks as good as the day he picked them up.

The TTi are Far better headers , thicker flanges ,far better fit, no reason to even consider the Hookers if the price is similar

OK,

I hope someone can tell me if we can do this for a car. It just seems strange I haven't seen any powder coated headers for cars.  :clueless: Is the temp. a problem?  :dunno:

Guys, I'm sorry. I just have a problem with TTI's price. Maybe I'll convert someday, but that day isn't today.
