Long time lurker...
« on: November 29, 2006 - 11:33:59 AM »
Hey guys, I guess I better introduce myself. My name is Kelly, and I recognize a few of you from other forums. I wrote the history of the Challenger on Allpar.com when I was 14, and wrote the longer history last year. I own the website http://www.kellyscars.net
My dad had a beater '71 when I was really young (Greg Bulingher restored the car in '96 Lic plate# is CA 2BNF064), and he sold it when I was 11. From that point on, I made a personal vow to myself that I would someday own another beauty like that, and learn as much as I can. By the next year, I was decoding those cars. I have learned a lot in the past 12 years, and thanks to my '58 Coronet, I have a master's degree in MOPAR! As far as Mopars go, I had the Dodge (#2 Dreamcar behind my Challenger), and briefly had a '56 New Yorker Four Door Hardtop. Its time for me to get my challenger now. Like I say, I am glad I found this place!

Welcome to the forum Kelly!  Got any pics of your Coronet you can share?  Keep an eye on the "For Sale" section...lost of cars pass through there.

Glad you joined in!

Hell yeah she is! There isn't anything wrong with bigger girls!
-Kelly

This is Kenny Bob's Old Challenger. The Chally I remember was a 318 Green/green/green '71. It originally had a 904 Tranny, and Road wheels. KB (my dad) painted it grey primer, then orange primer. He sold it to Greg Bulinger in 1994 for $200!
Greg restored it to the guise seen here, with the incorrect for '71 U-code 440 with a 727. Greg sold it to a mopar fan at the Long Beach swap meet for 8750 in 1996. He later added a six pack and four speed and air conditioning at the request of her new owner. The new owner crashed the car, Greg fixed it. The owner later traded her for a '62 300. I don't know what became of the Kenny Bob R/T, I have never seen it at any of the So-Cal mopar shows. The only thing I can remember of that car was its license plate: 2BNF064. Anybody seen it?
