New Project
« on: November 29, 2006 - 01:31:30 PM »
Just thought I would share with you guys my latest project.  It is an original 1970 Challenger RT/SE, with a 383, auto w/ console, and an 8 3/4 rear end.  78,000 original miles.  No rust, but needs a restoration.

All there (mostly), but need help locating some parts for it.  If you have these items let me know.

Intake manifold:  2951666

Left exhaust manifold: 2951865

Heat stove for left HP exhaust manifold (no part number)

Right exhaust manifold: 2899879

The correct oil pan. It is referred to a “402” pan with pick up and windage tray.

Need correct Carborator 4732S for 383 auto '70 Challenger with A/C
Build date on car is Sept '69 so need earlier than this date
Correct carb # s/b 4732S
Carter AVS

I also need radiator part number 2998961 for my '70 Challenger, 383, with A/C

Need grill for '70 Challenger RT

Any original OEM A/C equipment

This will be a great project for me as I have always wanted an original RT/SE before, and now have one .
I am going to try to get it done before the new Challengers come out.

Greg

Wow!  Nice project.  Looks very similar to how ours started out.  Is it a true RT?  I was just wondering why they have a standard dash in there.  :dunno:  Looks like all the SE trim is there...should be a piece of cake!  Congratulations!

Real RT and have the buildsheet but need to place it all back together.  Someone took the real leather seat covers out but at least these are in great shape.  Q: Did ALL the R/T's come standard with Ralley gauges?  Everything else looks great inside.

gb70,

Are you wanting this to be totally correct for a 70 RT/SE? That steering wheel is from a later year E-Body. It's an awesome looking car!!  :2thumbs: Let me know if you get tired of it.  :smilielol:

I should not have sold that extra E body ralley gauge cluster I had a few years ago  :eek4:  I guess I have another item to add to "the list"  :ebay:
