'83 RamCharger
« on: November 30, 2006 - 05:47:17 PM »
How about a 1983 RamCharger 4WD.  No rust but lots of bondo on the driver's fender and door.  Lifted with huge tires and tow package with Dana 44s front and back, 360/727 but it needs an engine......

There are a lot of fans of those Ramchargers and they are worth quite a bit to the right person. I practicly grew up in one of those, it was an 86 with a 360.....the old man got rid of it in 94 with 160k on the clock. The lower two inches of them rust out in a few years, but patches and original panels are still available. I would check the transmission, as everyone I knew that has owned one has had a problem with it. As for pricing....there are always a few on eBay, so I would try finding one in similar condition and see what that sells for....ohh and :useless:

Ok I bought it

$40.00

That's forty dollars.  I get to pick it up tommorow and I will bring the digicam.

I found more bondo on the drivers side, looks like it fell over on that side once. I also got an extra 360 and a bunch of tools in the deal.  (I just bought it for the 360)

Pics

The engine is half taken apart and so is the dash.  It looks to have a new cam and double roller timing chain

What do you plan to do with the body?

I noticed you said that you just bought it for the engine, so I thought you could do something interesting like putting another Mopar body (A-body, B-body, etc.) on the frame of the Ramcharger and have a unique 4x4 Mopar.  Just a thought.  I plan to do that one day.

Sweet a 4x4 musclecar  I'd like to see that!!  The ramcharger platform would be perfect!!     You stole that thing!    I'd wait and throw something in it to see how it goes.
