I hear ya on the hidden rust issues... I'm now on my 4th week or fixing rust, not all patching and replacing, but never expected it.  Looks like a great project.  These e-bodies rust in unusual places, to me at least, have did only b-bodies before.

Well not a whole lot going on. Saving up a few bucks to get the car blasted. I am hoping in 2-3 weeks I can get that done.. Took rear window out and what do ya know...more rust.. I knew that was coming though.. Did find a whole on the front drivers side rail I am going to have to fix..

Well just got done picking it up.. Man is it COLD out there.. Here is some pics of it.. I had it done at a local place here.. called  RT Restorations... Randy and Troy are great guys.. They blasted exactly what I wanted them to.. some of it isn't blasted due to I know that panel is getting replaced.. why waste time and money when I am going to cut it off... I'm glad I spent the money to do this.. I see all the hiden areas needing fixed.. Like a small spot on rear frame rail needing some work.. That I couldn't see before.. I look at this and want to get moving on it but money and weather are really bringing me down..   give RT Restorations a call and they can help out on anything.... 920-921-6863..

Ok last one I have for now.. I have a question with this one... this is part of pass floor and was wondering my options of getting rid of this pitted rust I guess u would call it.. Hoping not to sand blast it, cause I don't know a place around here that would..  thanks all  Jason

I suppose the metal is solid enough to keep, sooo one of the rust converters would be in order.

Acids may remove the rust but also remove good metal, the rust converters neutralize the rust & seal the surface with a polymer that is sandable & paintable. You can purchase small qtys. at the local parts store if you want to test it or google "rust converter" & you will see many better options cost wise. Many here use the brand POR15 but I believe they are all about the same thing.

I love POR-15. It is awesome stuff. Been using their products for close to 10 years now. Wow I can't believe I have had my Challenger for that long. Good luck  with the car.
