six pack hood on Challengers?
« on: December 03, 2006 - 11:09:38 PM »
I had a buddy the other day that told me that you could get a 440 six pack hood for 440-6 Challengers. I told him he was not right then asked another buddy who was around when they were newand has owned literally hundreds of Challengers and he swears that yes in 1970 only you could get a six pack hood on 440 sixpack Challengers. I have never heard of this, is it true?

The T/A hood was an option on 1970 and 1971 Challengers after the hood became available on the T/As.

If you mean the 1969 A12 Road Runner and Super Bee scoop, the answer is no.

Yeah, both of these guys were talking about A-12 type scoops. I have to admit thought that I have learned some things I did not know. I got into a debate about the black only hockey stick stripes for 1970 'Cudas as I was certain that there was at least a white hockeystick option. I still find it crazy odd that Plymouth would not offer any other color of hockeystick while the longitudinal and bumblebee stripe for Dodge was offered in a rainbow of colors  :dunno:
