I just new it would happen
« on: December 04, 2006 - 08:00:08 PM »
I have been working 16/18 plus hrs a day everyday non stop for a few months. Weather changed up and down, now I got the flue. Gonna be tuff working with the way I'm feeling. And the wife calls every hr out to my shop demanding that I come inside and rest. Sure makes working miserable. But with all my projects, working on relatives cars, insulating and wireing my shop, honey do dah's, it's making me depressed.  I don't have time to be sick. And I ache ALL OVER.  Anybody need a project? :violin: I'm addicted to these cars. I gotta slow down.    Oh yeah, not forsale, I finish the 440-6 this weekend....Yippie.....around 6k more and the tags go on it. I.E... interior, brakes,exhaust, and rims.

Rest every so often.  :sleeping:

Eat lots of Garlic for two reasons;

1. It is very high in Vitamin C.  :thumbsup:

2. If you eat a lot of it she will not ask you to come inside anymore.  :eek4:

Get well soon Al, rest up and do not over do it.  :wave:

Thanks all. I just finished my dads plymouth voyager problem, and I am trying to start removing the dash pad out of my challenger now. It's 34 degrees in the shop right now and my head is plugged up. The computer works good in the cold tho. I got a kerosene heater going next to me about 15ft away, but I can't feel it. Been out here since 630 am. Just ate breakfast an hr ago. Wife made me. Now she's a wee bit upset because I ate it in my shop. But the coffee is good. Wish my children lived closer. I wanna get my challenger back together to go do some street trolling sat night after I finish putting the barracuda engine together. I'm going to leave the 6pk off to install the engine so it's easier on me. It's all the more trickier when your working alone.  I'm shuttin down in about 30 minutes or so when I get all these dash speakers out. The glove box is out, ash tray, a/c stuff, radio, still gotta pull the gauges and drop the wheel. then pull the interior interference pieces.

My office is in SIOUX CITY. When I go there. I just got back from W.Virginia on an emergency job and it took some of my play time away.  Heck I'm done for tonight...It's cold. And thanks for the help offer. You get down to Alabama when I got my 72 cuda out, I'll let you try a pass in it on the 1/8 mile.  Ever been 145 in 4.7 secs? It's crazy fun. But I may hook the throttle stop up at first on you.  Things happen very fast in this car.

I listened to everyone and only worked 12 hrs today. I do not feel good at all tho. Seems every single bone and muscle just aches.  But I did get the cars moved around in the shop, Diagnosed 2 check engine lights, and got the drivers side ball joints, upper and lower bushings, brakes and a new strut rod installed on the challenger. Left the dash alone. It was making me get a head ache leaning over so much. Tomorrow I will do the passenger side and an oil change on it to loose the breakin oil.

Al-

Sounds like your making some excellent progress while sick, but you gotta know when you max out man.  It sounds like you have slowed down some, but the flu just dont go away like a chevy in the mirror.  You gotta get some more rest  :sleeping:, take it easy, drink lots of water, that never hurts :grinyes:

Most of us look bad as it is.

Get some rest Al, take the time to get better. If it turns into pneumonia you will not be getting anything done at all.

Get lots of rest and let the wife take care of you for a few days, it will not kill you. The cars can wait.  ;)

I'm sure he'd love to crawl into bed and take it easy for a few days.
obviously he feels he has to get things done.

Hope you feel better soon !
