That's my girl!
« on: December 04, 2006 - 09:44:38 PM »
I just wanted to share a very proud moment with my C-C buddies. (and buddettes)...

My 17 y/o daughter is a Senior in high school this year.   She is in many clubs including Beta club.  She will be a 4 year starter in 2 sports. (Softball & tennis).
Anyway----tonight was the Fall Banquet for all the fall high school sports and softball is one of those sports in Ga.  She won 3 awards for softball, which is VERY cool, and I am very proud of her.  BUT,  the one that really brought a tear to old Dad's eye was when she was the sole winner of the ALL ACADEMIC AWARD for having the highest GPA of any of the other student athletes.  Now THAT WAS EXTREMELY COOL!!!   :ylsuper:   :ylsuper:   :bananasmi    :clapping:   :clapping:   :woo:   :woo:    :woohoo:   :woohoo:

I hope that doesn't sound boastful or arrogant, but she has worked very hard for that honor and I know she would be proud that I shared my pride in her with you all....     :cooldancing:

Awesome OS, I can only hope my daughter will be there when she graduates, but for now, she's only 3, so I'm sucking up all the attention she is giving me.  ;)
