Krazy Kar auction
« on: December 05, 2006 - 06:28:48 AM »
These guys sell some awesome muscle cars. I just saw this ad yesterday that they are having a auction on site. Anyone in the South Flroida area might have a chance to pick up a new toy. I don't know how the auction works but this friday it says you can come preview the cars. I wish I had some extra money but I don't. Just thought I would post this so maybe somebody else can take advantage. I know they have Cuda's and Challengers. The link below talks about it and the little movie shows there web site link.

Probably won't be any great deals - there's sure to be more than one schill in attendance.  Afterall, we're talking about Miami here... :stirpot: :stirpot: :stirpot:

I went to there first auction last month, only a couple good deals. No good deals on any Mopars, and only few of there ebodies were in really good shape.

That's too bad. I know that their prices were extremely high. I thought it might be a chance to get a e-body at a reasonable price. Oh well at least you got a look to see what was up.

Yeah I saw that. Man I would love to have on of those. Super rare and bad ass looking. You have to be majorly loaded to buy one of those nowadays even at a discount. :money:

You may not have noticed but it's not a real Daytona
1 - The ad says it's a "tribute" car which I guess is the new term for a clone
2 - They did not make any 70 Daytona's, so the term clone or even tribute does not really apply here - it's actually a Phantom

The Daytona was made in 1969 and for only half a year right? It's even rarer than the Super Bird.

Roughly 500 Daytonas and 1500 Superbirds made (please, I know these aren't the "exact" numbers). As I understand, the 500 was an arbitrary minimum number to qualify for NASCAR for '69 and the limit was upped in '70 to 1 car per franchised dealer.

Yeah but for a while there were romored to be a few 70 Daytonas around but they have been proven to be either dealer "clones" or back yard built.  No factory cars hav ebeen proven to exist and certainly even if there was a factory one-off built, it was never sold to the public.  In fact Mopar Collectors Guide had a series of articles about the "1970 Daytonas" and concluded as such.
