I just got his number and full name for you rev. Now you can go one on one with him. He seems straight up and honest from all my input. Expect a pm in a couple of minutes with his number and my number too. The car is just 20 minutes north of Gadsden Al. He said it will start up and run, so no problems loading on a trailer.....ALAN

Red called the guy today (he gets a better response from men talking about cars than I do) about the cuda.  His wife just had a baby so things are hectic at their house, but he said he would email me pictures in a couple of days.  He also said one of the fenders had a dent in it, the other has some rust so we might need a pair of fenders.  He said he would take $5K for it.  Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer...we'll see how the pictures look.  :jumping:

:2thumbs: Pending outcome of what the pics show, this does sound like the overall best situation we have come accross. And it is in Alabama so perhaps Russ can first hand evaluate the car, or another member who of course may be closer. However as of now we are about $520.00 plus transport cost short of the goal. We need some more contributions.

I was 20 miles slightly nw of Gadsden in Albertville yesterday doing work :bricks1:  If alien joey is free i will see if he can accompany me as it's what he does for a living. I'll see him this evening when i take a few more shots of my Challenger  It would have to be a saturday or sunday trip though as it's about 3hrs from us. Btw if anyone else goes, they're resurfacing Hwy 431 just south of Boaz (Boaz is roughly ten miles south of Albertville) and State Troopers are seeing to it that folks maintain an appropriate speed :stirpot: :money: Just let me know :2thumbs:

I got in late to go get pictures for everyone. Anyone else get to see the car or talk to the guy? I worked 7 hrs sunday, 2 or 3 hrs in my junk yard in la then a 500 mile drive, I was tired when I got in. Now I gotta go back wednesday till saturday to a different plant in New I beria la. I really really actually thought I was retired from work. I gave my resignation on oct 1 2006 and they havent let me stay home yet. I can't stand seeing things broke that I know how to fix. I wish I never learned this skilled craft.

Not yet Alan.  I'm still waiting for pictures from the owner.  He said it would be a few days because they just had a new baby.  I'll has Red to give him another call today or tomorrow.

I just got a phone call tonight.  The guy has taken the pictures for us. He is in Nashville, at the hospital with his son. They sent his son there for a heart murmer. I was told he has the pics on his laptop and will email them to me. Maybe you too Rev. This was a relay message to me about the pictures. So I think in a day or two, we will see the car. Not sure if he has his laptop in the motel / hospital.....ALAN

Excellent! I hope his son is OK.  I've had a heart murmer since I was a baby.  It's usually nothing serious.

:2thumbs: Sure hope the little guy is doing OK. My one son also had a heart murmer. at least for him it was no big obsticle, I'll have to ask him about it, he's now 35, is it possible to "outgrow" such as situation? He's never mentioned it in his adult years, in fact I had forgotten all about it until I read about it here.
