Getting in
« on: December 06, 2006 - 09:14:24 AM »
I am really considering go to Carlisle this year coming up it really looks like an awesome event to go to. Can anybody tell me how the entrance works? Do you pay by day to get in or get a 3 day pass?  I don't think I'll trailer my car because it's just too far and it will be my first time there so I want to check it out for the first time. I have a brother in New York and I also probably can take advantage of the opportunity and get to see him and the family while I am there. I'll also look out for the cc.com tent and stop by to say hi. This is going to be a family trip so I think my boys will get a kick out of it. (they love Cuda's) Also can anyone suggest any hotels that are near by?  I will start planning the trip after the holidays.

Thanks

It really is a great show!  Here is a link with the gate info http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/chrysler/gate.asp .  There are a ton of hotels in the area and you can find them through the "Visitor Information" button on the link I just mentioned.  But...if you want to have fun with the rest of us, we stay at the Fairfield Inn about 15 miles out of town.  It has a huge parking lot that we can keep our cars safe in and hang out in.  I should be blocking out the rooms for us shortly. If you have any other questions, just ask!

Rev let me know exactly where you guys are staying so when I make my reservation I'll check to see if there are rooms available there first. This way I can say hi and hang out and check out the cars that some of you bring. I can look at e-bodys all day... thanks for the info I'll check out the link.

Remember when you register for a three day pass to put the club name in "cuda-challenger.com"  . . one day we'll get enough for a free tent!

IF I make it next year, you suppose they will let Pixie and I park near the tent?    :dunno:   We aren't exactly e-bods, but we wanna be near our friends....     I would love to know that before I make a decision for that trip.....    :cooldancing:

:iagree:  Besides there is always "under" the tent, we already know it will fit there. Someone complains again we ......................................., naw, we're a nice lot, no need to stoop to their standards. We'll work it out and have fun and make more new friends - right? So, Ken, when Rev. post the info, make your reservation buddy, ya gotta go man.

At Carlisle when you reserve your club tent and pay for your car to be in the show. It is to be parked in your class. If your class happens to be around your tent , fine. Otherwise you take a spot of someone that should be in there class. That is the rules of Carlisle. If you park out of your class you screw up the judging field. Besides we can put OS and Pixie in the middle, again. Then you don't mess with the organized judging.

I'm wondering where on the grounds do they usually put the CC.com tent? I will park with the PT Cruisers but would like to hang out with you guys if possable. We will bring the Challenger for the 40Th reunion in 2010 for the Trans Am cars.

I don't think we've been in the same spot twice.  But, we are usually in the E-body section.
