a new newb here
« on: December 06, 2006 - 11:12:44 AM »
Hi guys and gals,
I am a new member and I have to say I have used alot of the info here to help me with my project. This site rocks!!!!. well any how I am not a new to the mopar fan club, some of the cars I have owned, 73 440 se charger, 81 dodge d-150 and my current pride and joy a 70 challenger this started out life as a 318 3speed manual and now is a 318 auto (I know it is a crime)but plan changing it to a 4speed. I haven't decided if I am going change the 318 to a 62 383 hp that came out of a cop car that was givin to me. here are a few pics

Thanks for having a great site

Welcome to C-C.com! Yeah, I don't know what I would do without the info available here. It's a gold mine. Good luck with the Chally, and you have one vote for the 383. :burnout:

Welcome to the site, Purpleroadrunner!  It looks like you have a great candidate for a resto. and I'd say you'd have more fun with the 383 over that 318, too.  If it was a 340 car I'd have different thoughts, but you may as well go as big as your budget can allow and have some real fun with that big block! :2thumbs:

Thanks for the warm welcome all, plans for colors on the car is going to be a lemon twist yellow, I want to make sure that they see me comming or going depending on the view(more like going) I have had the car for about three years and things that I have done on this so far is new wiring front to back, complete brake overhaul, power steering conversion( the wife wants to be able to drive it as well) and hopefully the paint and body will be done this next summer. but taking lots of pics to post for the progression of this little soon to be monster.

once again Thanks
