Dave is calling the silver Textured Argent.  I have not used the spray cans.  Somewhere I have the mix codes from Ditzler.  The paint has metalic and a material that is like sand put in it.  When you spray the paint the distance you are from what you are spraying is critical.  The paint looks entirely different when sprayed from 6 inches or a foot away.  Air pressure will change the look also. If you have not used it practice on something first.  Another thing I have done in absence of the SE panel is to spray the Textured Argent on the car and put the quarter moldings on.  Most do not notice the panel isn't there.  I plan to do that on an SE that is going to be mainly a driver. I wouldn't think the color would be different comming from a can.  http://www.totallyautoinc.com/paints.html

is anyone repopping the SE panels? If so, do they come in different colors?

Not that I've ever seen.

They aren't being repopped. If you are looking for a NOS piece, be prepared to pay $500-$600 for it. They don't even appear on E-Bay that often. I have only seen them come in argent silver.

Here is the textured silver paint code.  You should be able to get the color at any Ditzler/PPG paint supplier.  DNA-8575.

That's good to know.  I have 2 NOS ones here I was going to put on drivers.   :scared:  I didn't know they were so valuable.  That is why I like this site.  I bought most of this stuff 15 yrs. ago and much has changed since then.

I'm feel very fortunate my SE panel is in such good shape :bananasmi:

The panel was so perfect when I got her that that I thought it must be a repop.
