EEEEK I got a camero in my shop
« on: December 08, 2006 - 12:14:14 PM »
The owner of the machine shop called and asked me if I'd yank the engine and tranny out for him today and he'd knock 200 bucks off my heads that he just installed my 214/181 valves in and new guides and mill. Of corse I said sure. I'll be done in 2 hrs :2thumbs: The car goes back on the trailer tonight, and I get my heads for 50 bucks ready to go...yes yes yes

This was a camero hot rod like an 88 or so with headers and the top end is stripped already...piece of cake.

That sounds like it was an excellent trade-off. :2thumbs: :grinyes:

Just think:
1.) tear the heartbeat out of a Camaro
&
2.) get your heads done for next to nothing.

Here's the update.  DONE!     That car is a joke. Used to be an orange car. But now it's black with red interior and blue seats, lol. His factory gauges must not work cause he's got a monster tac screwed to the console and water temp/oil  3" gauges screwed to the dash. Had headers that had a cross over to the passenger side then 2.5 inch single to the back with a muffler with 2 outlets on the muffler  lol kinda like fake duals. Best thing about the whole car was the mickey thompson super streets. He had a 700 dbl pumper setting in the back window on a dual plane. Some hot rod! It was a joke. I will be watching for him on the street when he's up and running. The challenger has that cameros name in it's sights.

I did get to finish my cheetah reverse manual valve body today too. It's a done deal now

Maybe you could paint it yellow and go play 'fear factor'

Heads are done now. I am pulling bolts out of an old 8 3/4 for a member now. I just sent the camero down the road.

I like that remark about the fear factor. It should be a camero trend. :2thumbs:
