    I was reading a section on the Challengers the 1972 was no longer avaialbe with a formal roof option...what exactly do they mean here?

    I have seen other formal roof comments but it was for the 70 only...

    By formal roof, they me a vinyl top, with a smaller rear window, as the 70 Challenger S/E, and R/T- S/E had.

    formal roof was part of the SE option in 70 & was a separate option in 71
