    Our tax dollars going to useless studies again. A group, sorry didn't scan the article it was rather large with a lot of numerical data, has come to a concenus that there are fewer death row inmates in America's prisins today than a few years ago.    :dunno:   I wonder why?   :dunno:  .  It may just be because since the federal government gave individual states the authority to either reinstate the death penality or not.  If states LIke Texas, Flordia, Ohio and others who have reinstated the death penality have been carrying out excutions over the past few years in all likely hood there is indeed less convicted murder's etc on death row.

    Yep that took a whole lot of time and brains to figure that mystery out. This tax funded study group must have been the old OJ jury, they couldn't figure out what actual evidence was or meant either...............about the same mentallity anyway.  :roflsmiley:  I wonder how much money was spent on that study ?

    Well, not wanting to seem disagreeable here, but I think the electric chair should be done away with altogether....................................................................................................

      There was a study done around the Baltimore are recently about traffic in the last 5 years. Believe it or not, they concluded it has increased. You would think since the housing costs have sky-rocketed around here, and they can't build them fast enough, might have clued them in.  :dunno:

    My buddies uncle was in prison for 20 years and he never committed the crime.  He was supposed to be there for life, but he never gave up and fought and fought and finally the evidence showed there wa no way it could have been him. 

    Sometimes I say put them all to death if that's their sentence, then when I think about my bud's uncle, I have second thoughts.  It's tough though because if they go to jail, then it's our tax dollars paying to educate them and give them things that I don't think they should have.  But on the same lines, we can't treat them like cows and herd them all in one small place either.  :dunno:   :dunno:   :clueless:

    Some people are just plain mean, then some have a chance. one law can't fit the whole country. I just don't know how to go about thinking up a way to deal with all areas of this subject. Each case should be looked at as an individual. But any kind of child crime, or hate crime should be dealt with harsh. 20 yrs of claiming of innocense, that was terrific your uncle was released. I can imagine the anger he has towards the government, but untill he came up with his proof, that was all they could do.
    The one thing I do think is.
    If they do time, they should not be comfortable. myself, I can't take a life. But the guilty have to pay for what they do, some how way shape or form. And cost should not be in the picture. Priorities in Gov. spending can be shuffled.

    I think we are wasting far more money on feeding, housing, paying welfare and giving premium health care to illegal aliens than doing studies on the death penalty.
