Driving Your Car - How Many Miles A Month?
« on: December 10, 2006 - 05:43:44 PM »

How many miles do you guys & gals put on your cars? Not including the ones in restoration, of course. I try to take mine out when ever it's fine. I don't mind being caught in a rain storm but I prefer to go driving when it's sunny as it's more enjoyable. I put around 1,500 - 2,000 miles on mine a month, that will probably drop when the 'Cuda is completed but it gets out quite a bit which I like. It's 24/7/365 driving down here, no snow etc so that helps and it will obviously limit most of the northern States driving time but for you guys, just vote using the summer driving months.

I drive it when it's nice weather. Gas is to high to drive every time I think about it.

When mine isn't broken,I drive it anytime I can.I actually had it out yesterday to run to the parts store and get some stuff for my everyday junker. And considering its the middle of December and the heater core is out right now and im in the northeast.I am truly a Clown but a very happy Clown now that mine is back running incredible.I only put about 500 miles on it this summer, but they were hard miles for sure.

I selected 2-500 miles but in reality during good weather months I've been known to put 1500-2000 miles on in a month, but during the rain & fog period it likely won't see 100 miles, thought if theres a nice weekend I might take a drive to the mountains or the coast...

After sitting for 20 years I finelly got mine roadworthy again late last summer and found a new thrill in driving it. I only put on about 700 miles in three months  but this coming summer  I plan on a lot more. Got to put in a new stereo -- had been driving without tunes wich is not cool. Can't wait for spring   :ylsuper:   :bigshades:
