I can sorta see both sides of this deal.  This is a fairly common occurance when you are trying to put together a deal via internet pics and phone calls.  Neither party "knows" the other, except for what they might post on some car forums.  Neither wants to get burned, the buyer or seller.  Believe me, when I arranged for purchase of the Beast, there was over 800 miles between me and the car.  During the 10 day period from our initial conversation where we came to an agreement about the details of the transaction, my arranging a personal inspection, paying him, and arranging transport of the car back to Ga, there were many, many reassuring phone calls back and forth.  He was getting 10 calls a day from potential buyers and was making SURE that I was going to come through, and I was making sure he wasn't going to sell the car to someone who was closer with cash in hand.  In the end, both of us were true to our word and the deal went through without a hitch.  Since the purchase, I have spoken to him many times about the Beast and other cars.  He is truly a man that honors his word and I appreciate that...     :cooldancing:     Oldschool

Not sure I'd lose a deal for $200.00 ?? If you keep holding out for more, you might wind up with nothing.  :screwy:

Good luck.

I find you take the first one with the cash and be done with it.  A few hundred isnt worth losing a sell.  I've taken deposited and still people didn't come through.  But I make a verbal agreement and recieve a deposit I give them a time limit with in reason and thats that.  Maybe a little lack of communication here.  But :drama: :roflsmiley:

I think you need to REWORD your ad FIRM.   I have no problem with a seller looking for whatever he wants out of a sale, but this post is a little obnoxious.   So now 9400 won't do it, does that mean your pulling your reoffer of 9000 of the table to the Clown? :2cents:

Yep, best bet is to run the other way...

If you want to have people make offers, or ther correct term BID, list them on ebay.  Last I looked this wasnt an auction site... stuff like this is rediculous :villagers:

I understand your opinions, and what you do with your vehicles is your business. If clown came when he originally told me he would and left any sort of deposit it would have been gone for 8K. But I have been swamped with calls and had 3 people already come and look at it. I have 2 guys that would leave deposits already for 9300+9400 respectively. So considering this + the amount of calls, emails I have received I am not worried about losing the sale. I do not have to sell this for any reason besides lack of time to finish right now+other projects that I would rather play with. I did not write FIRM because I am not firm, If I do not get 9600, i will take 94, or 93 if jonathon backs out. They both had no problem with me telling them I was waiting a couple days to see if i get what i asked for. If clown came tomorrow with 9K I would honor that price because I posted that above. There was no drama until people started posting off topic.

I apologize to those who do not like seeing others get the amount they want, what you guys do with your cars is up to you, you wont see me posting anything in your ads besides relevant questions or offers  :dunno:

Now back to the ad.... one ORIGINAL # MATCHING 2 OWNER 1970 RT CHALLENGER with parts car 9600 OBO >>
