My dad knew a guy with a bunch of rare mopars, so we arrange to meet at his place. He only wanted just us two to come, no one else, later I found out why. He opens up his garage doors and what is sitting there? One plum crazy AAR, Hemi Orange 440 Superbird, Red Daytona. All in mint, perfect condition
I thought I died and went to heaven. Oh, and he has a T/A in the works, no rust
. After he gives us all the info on all the cars, I ask him to find me a 70-71 challenger. I figured that if anyone knew where one was, he did. He said ok. Next day, no more than 18 hours later, he calls on the phone and says he found one. I was like WTF??? He said that it was only a few minutes away, and he had already looked at it, talked to the owner, and if I didnt want to buy it that he would! LOL! #'s matching VERY original car, with minimal rust issues.
I looked at it, fell in love, and no more than 24 hours later than when I first told him I wanted a challenger, I told the owner I would take it. Talk about some divine intervention
Here it is when I first saw it
