    I was looking for a 74 Cuda in the area for someone else. It was a 1 owner car sold out of a small dealership. I called the parts manager cause he has been there forever. He gave me a phone #. Told me this was who I was looking for. I called the guy and asked if he owned a 74 Cuda. He said no he had a 71 Challenger. I asked him if it was for sale, he said yes. I went down to look at it for me and bought it.

    My first Challenger(a 71) i found in a ad, my Second(70 SE) i bought on Ebay. My Chargers was an ad on the 70 and the 69 i bought from a member at DC.

    74 Scamp, My Dad did some Electrical work for an older couple and they offered it instead of the 100bucks, it was in pieces.1992

    My 70 Barracuda, on side of road parked in Cambridge,Ma not for sale but left a note w/an offer of 1G and the guy called back!1994

     I found my cuda in a field west of town. A freind of mine had just bought a 70 T/A. I was going down a country road doing a delivery run when we went past a field that had a car kinda like his T/A sitting in a weed patch with a pole leaning against the hood with a small 8" for sale sign. After making our delivery I stopped and talked to the kid that owned it. It was late Friday evening so I asked him if he would take $10.00 to hold it till Monday and I would see if I could get a loan. Had to talk my dad all weekend into cosigning a loan for me (for a plymouth!!!!). Got my loan and went running back to the kid  with cash in hand. He took $1,200.00 for (wanted 1,500.00) it but this was in 1977. Dad thought I was nuts paying that much for a mopar.

    ...I found most of my cars at car shows,  Hemmings Magazine and even EBay....

    ...I bought this one at a show in Ft. Wayne In completely finished (didn't get the girl).....the previous owner recovered the car from the muddy banks of the Ohio river...the important stuff was there, but many of the body parts had been sold off....BS23V1B100106

    That 1971 transformation looks absolutely great, even if they did mispell "Baracuda".  At first I thought it was an original ad, just thumbing through the page, then I noticed her twist-bra, thinking...late 80's?  Anyway, looks great Daytona.

    ....it was a calendar, probably 1987-88, I bought the car in 1988-89.....good eye on the swimsuit....also, notice it says "SIX PAC"....it should have read "SIX BARREL"

    and I have no idea what the "executive model" is, unless the girl was included....

    ...strange thing, one of my first girlfriends looked like a twin to this girl....(shes a grandma now) :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley:...

    Had a few but my favorite was a challenger vert that I was searching for.And it all started with someone saying they heard of one around here.Next thing I know I am looking and asking and hoping,9 months later found it and sold it less than two weeks after buying it.But because the price tag was pretty high it took 4 people to partner up and purchase it----broke my heart to sell it.The Clown

    I just sold my second Mustang. Dad was flippin around on ebay and spotted my car about an hour away with a buy it now for $8k on ebay. I had the money from saving/the mustang, so i bought it. my savings have been downhill ever since.  :smilielol:

    My '73 'Cuda, i found in the local free ads.  The '70 Challenger was in Mopar Collectors Guide.  The '71 Barracuda, a local guy that deals in Mopars had for sale.

    1988 I bought a 1970 lime green 340 'Cuda for $900 from a farmer with lots of challengers and 'cudas. That was enough to give me the bug big time. I dont even have pics of the car but I do still have parts from it  :bigsmile: It was optioned kinda strange for a basic 'Cuda in that it had manual steering and brakes but 15" rallyes and hood pins, rallye dash, hockeystick stripe and such. It was an L.A. car.

    No photos, but....

    Just over 20 years ago now my brother told me of a T/A for sale. I was on a job on another island at the time. My brother kept asking if I had called the guy yet. I had no way to look at it, so I did not call. My brother nagged me about it ever time I talked to him over a five month period.

    A week after I looked at it, the car was mine. Our 20th anniversary is in February of next year.  :cheers:

    I was casually lookin around for the "right" car for about 5 years and got more serious about it about 2 years ago. I passed on a couple of mega projects. This was due to time, lack of space, and a few minor physical impairments. Dam bi-focals are a pain in the a$$, no L5 left, and cut tendons in my left hand. (sorry for whineing here). So then one day a good fried of mine calls and asks if I had brass balls and nerves of steel. I must have, cause shes in the garage.  Any way there is still quite a bit I need to do on Miss NIKKI. Some things are corrections, some are improvements. But shes one helluva ride in the meantime!
