New here but not to Mopars
« on: December 12, 2006 - 02:50:20 PM »
I just recently found this site and thought I would join in the fun. I currently have a 70 Challenger T/A clone, 66 Charger 440 ( should be back from paint shop next week after 4 months ), 73 Duster 340 sublime green, and a 79 Dodge Little Red Express. I bought the Challenger over eight years ago after it sat in a basement for 5years before that. It had no interior, exhaust, fuel tank and there was a large hole in floor where the transmission tunnel was supposed to be. We put it back together and have been everywhere in it. In the last year motor was going south so this month I began replacing it. I found a 70 date 340 for 400.00 and had it rebuilt with a .509 cam and new J heads with a port job. While it was down I installed a new PSE kit in front end. Last weekend we installed motor and hopefully this weekend we will ready to fire it up and go for a drive.  This new motor should run very well and I look forward to finding a few 5.0 boys to test it with.  Always looking for others to get together with and shoot the bull.

Okay here are a few pictures of the other cars. The first is my wifes Little Red. She drives this when she can. I mean drives it, tires smoking and exhaust blaring. The Duster was my son's car and he was going to sell it last year to finish college. I bought it off him just to keep it in family. It ran a low 13 last time we took it to track. Third is a picture of my 71 Cuda we sold five years ago. We sold it to finish the Challenger. Yes now I do realize it was a mistake but we have all made them before.
