    Hi everyone, I am new here on this board. I just post a few photos of my car. To make a long story short, I bought the car in Europe and drove it there for a while. It was shipped back to the US in 2003. This is an Export-Model that was sold new in Europe in late 1971......

    Welcome to the site, JJ!! :wave:  That's really cool you have an export Challenger!  It's always neat seeing the little differences the factory used for these exports. (one of the guys I know in IL has a '71 GTX that came from Africa)

    Oh, and I'd assume it's a '72 340 car...4 speed or automatic?

    Wow nice challenger!!  Welcome to cc.com!  Great place here!  It would be cool having an export car as they are even more rare than the US cars!  Hope you enjoy the site!

    ...welcome.....I always am intrigued by export cars....I lived in China for a couple of years and the amount of MOPARS there could be counted on one hand....quite possibly your car was ordered by a member of the US military and delivered to his European base...if that car could only talk....one thing for sure, when that Challenger traveled the roads of Europe, I bet the owner rarely ran into another like it....many of the cars were beaten up in transport or robbed of parts going overseas when I was there....congrats on getting her home...

    Hi Daytona, the car was ordered in '71 by an Italian Gentleman living in Switzerland.  He washed the car every Saturday, drove it every Sunday to the local Cafe', read the newspaper, had an espresso and drove it back home in the garage. No joke, this story is real !

    The car is a survivor, was featured in Mopar Collectors Guide in Dec. 2003. They said it is 1 of 1, the only real Export-Challenger Survivor known to exist.
    I shipped the car over to the show in Carlisle in 2003 and received an award for the most miles traveled, that was fun. It has around 56.000 miles on it and I only drive it for
    maybe 10 or 20 miles a year.

    ...these storys are what makes the cars more interesting....plus the fact the car is a survivor....a truly unique piece of MOPAR history....I have all the issues of that magazine....I'll look up the article....congrats again on an outstanding MOPAR
