darn... Work finally found me
« on: December 13, 2006 - 06:21:58 PM »
I have been in hiding since oct 1st. My boss finally found me. I have to go rent a car Sunday now and drive over to Savanah Ga. then head south to some town named Woodbine and work at a Bayer corp science.  Then drive over to Clarksville Mo. to work at a plant called Holcim. Money is good, but I am not done playing. I wish our trainees would catch on quicker. I wanna retire and stay home someday

What is your work? Bummer you have to travel so soon after Christmas  :sadwavey: be careful on the road and may you find a convertible E-body with a pistol gripped 4 speed for 2k while you are motoring down the highway  :ylsuper:

I'm headed east to southern Illinois, I wouldn't mind finding another 4 speed E-body, doesn't have to be a convert, but a BIG BLOCK would be nice along the way.

I'll tell ya. They called my cell phone, they called the wifes cell phone, they called the house phone, they called my shop phone, the emailed me to my reg mail, then my moparal email, then sent a letter. Sure were pursistant suckers.  And I have no doubts I will spot some cars.  I sure have been having fun at home working till I drop every night. I have to drive up to SIOUX CITY IOWA in January like the 7th of Jan, to go get my company pickup and do an annual MSHA safety orientation. Then off to the dakotas and from there who knows. I sure hate the cold.

I think it's funny how I only worked 6 mos last year. I wish they'd give up on me. But I get called nation wide. The wife won't let me leave the country even tho it adds 50k to my paycheck in 5 mos. She says I would feed too many hungry people and give money away.  :dunno: That's what I like to do is help. As I travel, I will be posting along my routes just incase someone needs me to pick up any big parts like engines/trans/ hoods whatever. But I will be rushed. These plants wait for me sometimes 6 mos in advanced.  I will be North of Dallas Tx working at a gravel plant in Feb around Rockport/Denton. So give me a shout at times and we can go do something, or I can help you with your cars. They pay for my fuel and joy riding at all times. :2thumbs:

Damn, too bad you will not be here in February to do our MSHA training. I work at a mine in Carlsbad NM and have to go through a refresher every year. Would be nice to meet a new mopar fan. Would be nice if you were bringing a $300 R/T challenger hood with you too as my car will just about be ready for paint by then and it is the last piece of the body puzzle that keeps the rest of the car from being prepped, well that and my procrastination in pulling the drivetrain for engine bay stripping and paint.

We have driers but I have no idea who makes them. I am an underground guy, I would not be able to stand working in the mill  :puke:
I have always worked either in conventional drill and blast or mechanized miner panels. After 11 years I finally got a straight day job as a beltman. Nice to be home every night  :2thumbs:
