Deleting account
« on: December 13, 2006 - 06:47:15 PM »
I'm seriously thinking about deleting my account here due to some opinion-ated know it alls. Most of the members here have been very courteous and knowledgable. I've enjoyed my 2+ years here. I'm just tired of new members who think it's their way or the hi-way. I can enjoy my life and my Challey without B.S. from some newbies who think they know everything.  :grinyes:

Don't let anybody drive you away from a place you spend time let alone somebody who is new. You have 2+ years at C-C.com and have built a friend base.

I have not noticed what your talking about but I have been spending a little less time on the site. All I know is this. This site has always had a mutual respect for all of its members and the opinons they bring to the table. It's your table too. Don't give up your seat just yet. Know it all and blowhards will fade but true members will always be around.

Dave,

No need for such an action.  You are one of the mainstays here and you were here posting and contributing when I showed up.  We need you here, you are part of what makes C-C such a great community.  I have been on many, many other sites, but none have the family feel of C-C.  This is an open forum and sometimes there are folks here, newbies and grizzled veterans, that don't see things the way I do. I might reply to their viewpoint in an attempt to get them to see things my way, but most times I just shrug it off and move on to another thread.  Just like you mentioned in your post, we have lives beyond this website.  THAT is why I don't/won't allow anyone to get me upset on here.  If I disagree, I just find a topic that isn't controversial to me and move on. I am not gonna waste my braincells trying to argue a point on this site.  I see things my way and they see them theirs, end of story.  Please don't let others vocal veiwpoints get to you.  Take those comments for what they are, comments on an internet forum.  Sometimes there are folks that thrive on creating controversy and getting folks upset.  Don't play their games.   Ignore them, and take away their power, that's what I do and that makes this site much more enjoyable for me.  PM me if you wanna talk about it or of you want my #, PM me and we'll talk.........   Oldschool

And Dave, let it ride, a couple of bothersome posts shouldn't over turn any wise remark you have to make. I am all ears. I think I saw the post yer talkin about tho. It's not so bad, you're bigger then that. :2thumbs:

Dave I have enjoyed your company and don't want to see you go, I haven't seen what you are talking about, but I have to agree with Tropicalcats in that I haven't spent as much time on here as normal due to an excessive work schedule.  Ultimatley it is your decision, but keep in mind everyone here is entitled to their opinion and one of the great things about this place is that you don't have to agree with it, but we all respect it because it is what the individual belives.  I believe in not taking anything so serious or get offended on this site from posters that I don't agree with that it would drive me away, although I don't know what you are feeling from what you have seen.  Hang in there buddy.

I just feel if I didn't have to deal with other peoples stupidity I would feel better. I'm not sure computers are a god send. I don't think I will post anymore for a while. Merry Christmas to you and Rev and her family, Mek and all the rest of my friends here. Dave
