Newsbox?
« on: December 14, 2006 - 07:39:01 PM »
In another thread we were talking about the newsbox.  I was just wondering how many people leave it open or close it up.  In case you are unsure of what I'm talking about, I'll post some pictures here to help explain.

At the top of the forum pages you will see the CC.com banner and below it "Hello 'YourNameHere'".  To the far right of that will be either a + or a -.  If you click on that, it will toggle between having the newsbox open and having the newsbox closed.  Below are some pictures.

Please leave me your thoughts as I don't want to use this vehicle if most are not reading it.  Thanks!

I'll be the one-of-none......I always have mine closed, why? More room, I can see more threads and topics at once. Plus, everything in the news is usually a thread so nothing escapes me (Bwahahahaaa!). I guess having OCD doesn't help, I like my forums and layouts clean and junk free.

Then I have to assume that you don't use the "show unread post since last visit link?" and just weed your way through the site area by area . . .  :dunno:

Yip. I start at the top at Cuda-Challengers Galore and work my way through the board.
I'm in no rush and like to browse things I may have missed when marking the board as read earlier.

I prefer the link but I do it that way sometimes when the link screws up.  Works either way!
