NITROUS

Im thinking of just throwing on a ZEX nitrous kit 100-300HP....300HP for 700 bucks sounds like a good deal....
Tired of trying to figure out what aluminum heads to run... :swear:
Hogged out ported Indy heads/Intake is about $3700...  :money:

I'll just buy a stud girdle to handle them bottom end and be done with it.... :banghead:

A problem with the nitrous is that you have to keep refilling the bottle, but the right heads and intake keep going and going. just my  :2cents:

That's really $700 + $50.....+$50.....+$50.....+$50.....
get the idea ?
And anyone who says "you only use it when you need it" hasnt run it much. Also, you will need spare bottles. Kits over about 125hp will not have enough in them to run more than a few runs/bottle before they fall off in output. So a busy track day you need 3-4 full bottles. And if it's a street car, dont forget the blanket heater if you live north of 60° temps...+$100.

OK back to the topic..........I would recommend starting out at the 50 to 75 HP level. You will feel it, your not going to hurt your engine, your bottle will last alot longer and you won't have to run a serious fuel system to the NOs fuel solenoid. I ran 250 HP shot on my Challenger, bottle is too low to use again on the third 1/4 mile run ( like moper said) it was a RUSH though! :lol2:

I will have it available on my Challey when it is back running, but it will only be at the 50 to 75 HP level.

:iagree:    Keep it down to the 50-75 shot and you should be ok.  A sudden shot of 200-250 HP is very tough on engines---all engines.  It takes a special build to withstand that with any reliability.  Improper installation/use of NOS has probably put more motors in the boneyard than any other single cause I can think of.  Well maybe running the crap out of one with no oil changes or other maintenance is a close second...     :grinyes:

I recommend the "Cheater" but buy separate extra jets so you can start out at the 50 to 75 HP level (it starts out at 150 and goes to 250 with the supplied jets)
