Just had it decoded by Marlin Grouper.

Fish Grain vinyl top.

Last time out, it "hooked" really well.

:dunno: TC, shame on you, Keith is trying to sell the one above  :roflsmiley:

Keith that is exacly what I was thinking of today at work, ya could also add, kept indoors the last (depending how long you've had it)____years. She just needs a little touching up and TLC.  :roflsmiley:

8 weeks till you get it though. Naa...I wasn't trying to have him lose business.

TC,

I didn't take it that way.  To me there's a big difference between a real fish and a plastic one.

TC, we know you were not trying to do anything negative, it was just a "J/K" kind of comment, sorry, I thought the   "  :roflsmiley: "   would have clued ya in on that element of my post.

So TC, ya thinking about posting a bid on this rare and preserved "fish" ?  :roflsmiley:

I'm waiting to catch one myself and hang that. Friends would come over and ask..."when did ya catch that?"
Then I would have to make up a fish story to entertain em.

:roflsmiley: Yep, sounds like the guy I met at Carlisle a couple years ago. Missed ya last year Mike, hope you can make it in '07.

Pardon my ignorance about that kind of fishing, are they off the coast of California, or do you have to go elsewhere, like farther sourh off the Mexican borders?

I actually caught one off the coast of Hawaii a few years back. There are many species of Barracudas around the world. I believe the biggest species is the one in the earlier picture. They're usually caught off Florida.

But the trophy I'm looking for looks like this.

It's called a Gar. They live almost forever. I've heard of them being over 100 years old. Texas is known for having them and I'm sure there are other states down there that have them too. That one is a monster!!

I've snagged onto a couple small gars out of our local river too, but man thankfully never anything close to that size. If TC would not have ID'd it in his post I would have guessed it to be a sturgeon, now those ane like prehistoric, they can live for years upon years. But like  Heminut said, not somthing you'd want to take home for lunch however  :roflsmiley:
