73 CUDA....dealer order form...
« on: December 17, 2006 - 03:24:13 PM »
...I ordered this car while still overseas in the military...my dad actually ordered it for me and worked out all the $$$ details....

...car was damaged on the transporter...wife wrecked the first day with 79 miles on the odometer...it was crushed by a tree during a winter storm...sideswiped, rear ended, hit head on, and finally drowned...all before 1975-76

picture taken just after delivery, about 2 hours before it was rear ended the first time :roflsmiley:

...no, I sold it and bought a 61 Vette.....the CUDA was without a doubt the worst mechanical a$$hole I ever owned....it never ran right and wouldn't idle at all....turning on the AC was just like turning off the ignition....I sold it to a kid that worked for me and his ex-wife rammed him head on the first day he owned it, it was sideswiped the second day and that weekend he put it thru a barbed wire fence backwards and down a steep hill till the brush and trees stopped it.....it was in the body shop plenty the next few years(he drank alot of alcohol)...he finally drowned the car in about 10-12 foot of water.....they had to swim out.....last time I saw the poor CUDA(1977-78) it was rusted up past the side marker lights and still smelled like sewage...it had an ugly, rusty death, I'm sure

I still have mine when I ordered the 74, hand written though not typed, don't have my car either, but it had a better fate, I sold it in 81 to a friend, so i got to drive it once in a while, then he sold it a few years later & I lost track of it, wonder if it's still alive, I do have the vin # maybe someday I'll try to search for it?
