      Here's what i've got. 1970 GranCoupe, 383 4bbl, pistol grip 4 spd., black leather seats, overhead console, dual exhaust, black gator vinyl top, power steering, rally dash and last but not least, FM3 paint. Now, does anyone have proof of another Barracuda with these options. Oh yea, here's a pic of the Build Sheet.

    First off, I am not trying to start a fight.  Did you buy the car the way it is?  Did you take it apart and are you redoing it? I question this because you have a 73 cowl in the car.  Was the cowl replaced?

    I'd say there's more than one out there. 1970 Gran-Coupe, 383 4bbl, pistol grip 4 spd in FM3.
    If you start to break it right down into options many cars would quickly become 1 of 20's etc etc.....

    When I spot a 1 of # car it's usually classed on year, paint (+ stripes), interior colour and engine.
    Unfortunately, there isn't any real way of knowing how many of what cars were built.

    The only true way would be to gather all these cars on the worlds biggest field and break them into categories, including the Mopars in heaven, so, as you can see there isn't any way to know how many were built.
    That's not to say you still can't go out and find others like yours at shows and on the web.

    Nice car by the way. I'm not a fan of Panther Pink but I sure as hell can appreciate them.
    Even if it's 1 of 20 it's still rare....at the end of the day, does it really matter!?  :-\

    V1X is the black boars grain top, the Gator top was V1G.

    I have not heard of this car before.....

    See the two cutouts in the upper right corner of the cowl? they are for the OSAC valve, a 70 vintage cowl wouldn't have that...

    If your gonna say this, the vinyl top should also be included.
    And as I understand, gator grain was not a common top so (if it were gator grain) it would count towards its rarity.

    So what did dictate that emissions system?   My 74 360 4 speed non a/c car does not have those, and was sold new in NY.   I am also attaching a picture of a loaded 71 Cuda a friend has that was sold new to CA.   It is a VERY early built car 8-6-70.   The car is a twin to the promo cars, except with a 340.

    I do not know what Government regulations dictated the valve.  I have a 74 parts car here and it does not have the valve.  I only know if it being mounted in the cowl on a 73.
