Anyone ever use AllTrim?
« on: December 18, 2006 - 10:04:00 AM »
The company known as AllTrim is only a 2 hour drive from me and I wanted to contact him to see about getting my filler panel re anodized but to email him you first must pay him $15 or to call him you pay $30 . I could live wih the charges but if he makes you pay to talk to him it makes you wonder if he's a jerk you don't want to deal with anyway. it would tick me off to pay a guy to tell me it would take 3 years and cost more than an NOS peice to re anodize mine. anyone know anything about them?

Yeah I looked his web site over good and the only way to contact was after you paid him with paypal, he does lots of mopar stuff and the pictures of his work look good but his customer service is questionable.

Must be a dis-barred lawyer, or a lawyer doing hobby work. They're the only ones I know that charge you to talk to them. Well, besides 900 numbers. I certainly wouldn't pay someone just to be able to ask them a few questions about their products or services. IMO - Stay away from this guy.

I'd show up at his shop with the parts and ask the questions...can't charge you for asking questions while dropping off a project.
IF you don't like what you see or hear , walk with your parts... :2cents:

It does look nice, I went to his web sight and you have 3 options as I see it. pay him $ 30 to talk on the phone, $15 to e mail or $5 to get a brochure. if there's a phone number or e mail to be found anywhere I can't find it. I don't want to sound like a whiner because I have the choice to not deal with him if I don't like his terms but if I'm wrong and there is a normal way to contact him I'd like to if anyone has it.

Personally I would pass up anyone who would want to charge me money just to converse with them. I can understand the 'time is money' thing, but if you have a service your are selling to the public and are so busy that you can't stop to talk to a potential customer without loosing money and so feel that you should be paid for your time, then it's probably time you hired someone to help out with the workload! :clueless:

Does he credit the amount towards your bill if you have him do the work? I know of some body shops that do that with estimates. When I complained, one of the guys told me that they can easily tie up a half hour in an estimate, yet many times they don't get the job for various reasons. When you multiply that by x number of estimates per day, I guess it adds up. Still don't think it's right, but I guess I might fele different if the shoe was on the other foot.
