Which spare tire brace is correct?
« on: December 18, 2006 - 10:41:06 AM »
Which of these brackets is correct for a 70 Barracuda conv?
Or is one for a full size spare and the other for the collapsible spare?
I just put an NOS pan in the cuda and don't want to put the wrong bracket in. The old pan already had the bracket removed.
If the flat one is correct then does anyone have one to sell? (fingers crossed)

I wish I could help more, but I think the only difference between the full size spare and spacer-saver spare is the length of the rod coming out of the bracket.

Ooops, I was wrong, so I am editing this post with the correct information.

You can see the engineering drawing here;

It does show the flat style bracket for the 'verts.
