Linden Lab's created this virtual world several years ago.  It is free to join and check out whatever you would like.  If one chooses to live there, then yes, you have to pay a membership fee and purchase the land.  NZ is getting around without paying anything...he's having fun.  You can earn Linden dollars while you're in there by starting whatever company you want just like real life.  You can buy and sell real estate, have a clothing store, sell music...whatever.  It's all up to each individual.  I don't think I'll need virtual homeowners insurance.  :grinno:  It's really taking off and prime land (like what we have) will always be at a premium.  As far as your left nut goes...you can try to sell it, but the folks you might meet might scare the begeezes out of you!  :roflsmiley:

Thats the part that scares me - The people that I might meet. Thats why have to give so many props to the administrators around here. I have been to so many sites that pretty much allow people to act anyway and say anything that they want. It was such a releif to find this site where you can be pretty comfortable and not afraid of some idiot to start verbally abusing you just because they are somewhere hiding in a little hole where there can be no reprecussions for what they say. Great Job and Kudos to people like yourself Rev and all the others that take on this thankless task.

Thanks Madmax!  I appreciate it. We probably loose 3-5 people per year due to what you were referring to.  They don't like when they get their wrist slapped for inappropriate behavior.  Right now in Second Life, it's like the wild-wild west.  There's been a huge population growth and I find the "authorities" are probably run ragged.  There are ways to click on someone's profile and "tag" them for innapropriate behavior...enough taggings, they get banned.  So, like this place, it is left to the community to keep the peace.  I think we do a better job of it here!  :roflsmiley:

I may look at getting a house close to Rev & Red!  :grinyes:

Last night NZ (aka Carl Crosby) dropped by or SL house!

We hung out and chatted for a while then we went out into town a drove cars around a test track...
We got th cars out of a vending machine and then NZ proceeded to blister the pavement!  Man he is a wild driver--- he attemped the loop-d-loop (not sure he made it)  here are some shots... (sorry about the low rez -I cut it way down so they would load here faster..)

 :burnout:
All the while we were racing around-- the car sounds had burnouts, tires squeeling, engine shifts -- and we could chat with each other  IT WAS AWESOME

Then this blown Mustang (aka Dominus in SL) showed up

Then NZ challenges him to a drag race! Thing got real squirrly with cars going everywhere!

I used the 'Edit" feature to check out the car to see how they built it.

We need to make some Cuda's and Challengers and then we'll rule the SL streets!  This one even had headlights, and a convertible top

I took lots of pictures and they are all here...    Thanks NZ that was Fun!   http://www.ridesthatrock.com/SL/NZ440RT/

Later JRoss22 (aka Justin Gilks) came over to the CCCom Beach House and we hung out there and went up to the house

Then we headed out and did some test driving....  then went to one of the muscle car stores to check out some of their rides

OHHH, I forgot to tell you... JRoss22 CAN DANCE!  that was soooo funny!
Here are some shots of JRoss hamming it up!

If you scroll it kind of makes a movie :-)

There are a few other pictures JRoss22-- I put them here  http://www.ridesthatrock.com/SL/JRoss22/

Don't worry, you don't have to pay for a membership.  You can have tons of fun for free.  You can always call the cc.com beach-house home.  Today I hired a bartender, Alicia...you'll find her back in the bar area. Click on her and she'll serve you a drink.  Also added a hottub. :woohoo:  If you have Second Life software installed (it's free), you can get to the cc.com beach house by using this SL URL

To those of you who think we're nuts...  we probably are, but we're having fun!  :grinyes:
