News:
I have a 1970 440-6 Cuda that's missing the VIN plate on the dash. Anybody know who makes new, restored plates? (It's a re-creation so I'm not worried about the original plate).Thanks!
From a recent court case;
It appears from his statement "It's a re-creation so I'm not worried about the original plate" that he wants to have a tag that makes his car something it is not, sorry Green Mopar Guy, but that's my opinion.I agree with Barry, that is against the law.
you CAN get a legal new vin plate made. talk to julius steur at restorations by julius (web site is http://www.rbyj.com) - he gets $2 per minute, 5 minute minimum for answering questions. he got me one for a 70 cuda convertible i bought from him. he did all the work, and it took awhile, but it eventually got here. the process involves going thru the police to make sure its legit, and it could be just a california thing for all i know.
