No they are my own design. I thought about buying there whole "Body stiffening kit" but a lot of the parts won't fit because of the mods. XV's fender brace goes below the original stamped one and would hit my tire at full drop. It did give me the basic idea. I've talked with them several times now seem like good people. If you can come up with the  :money: they have nice parts too!

Well I hit a Major set back.  :swear:
Ok, so hears the problem. As you know if you have read any of this post. I have been working on the assumption that I will be using the A-580 auto stick trans. That is the trans that Chrysler puts behind the 6.1 L Hemi. It kinda makes sense, it was designed to work with that motor. I have driven one and it fun to drive too with the you shift it, auto-stick. I have known for for a while that no one has used this trans in a conversion yet. Not a huge worry I have done lots of conversions on other hard to install motors. I'm not afraid to make a custom harness and have had people write custom programs.

hears the problem. The short version. The motor and tranny along with all the other electronics talk though a network. In order to get the network up and get all the info I would need ( all the sensors) I would have to have most of the original car. IE dash computer column module. front control module, Dynamic stability control computer and as I under stand it even the climate control module! Even if I got all the modules and harness parts Most of them would error out because of how many inputs that would be missing. not to mention trying to find room for all that ****. This could be over come if the now gone Daimler would give up the coding for the network so that some software junky could write a program to "lie" to the computer and allow it to concentrate on making my car go in a forward direction. I've been talking to several people about this problem. S&P has been working on it to no avail. That's why no one uses this trans. Ok that was as Short as I could make it. :violin:

Options
1 Keep building the car and hope that someone will find a solution.
2 Use one of the other auto trans options that do work.
  3 Change to a 5 or 6 speed stick.
4 Move the car into storage, and save some money, figure it all out later!

I've been doing a lot of research into options and will default to #1 until I get more data. But I don't think it is a viable solution. Just makes more painful when you bail.

I can use the truck 5 speed but its got truck gear ratios and no slap stick / auto-stick  :eek4:
I've heard good and bad about keisler kits. I can solve the two common complaints ( to low and vibration) by moving it up. Lots of room in my tunnel  ::) A viper 6 speed would be fun  :burnout: but ouch.  :money:

Good thing I got my seats installed it gives me a place to sit and think!  :clueless:

Personally I'd go with a manual.

:iagree: You're going modern, definitely go 3 pedals. Talk to John or Scott at XV.
They make bell housings to suit the modern 5.7-6.1L Hemis for the T56 transmissions.

I'm considering getting a Viper spec one from them, 6-speed, rated at 1,200hp and you can shift @ WOT comfortably because it's synchros are "good" lol I have no idea how or why but it's a real beast of a trans I've heard.

Or, simply go Keisler with the TKO-600.

I do think that the autostick idea is a cool one. But, I am partial to a manual like many others. I think if it was me, I would keep building and hope between now and whenever you want to put the tranny in, someone solve your problem. How can you go wrong either way?  :dunno: You are going to have one sick, twisted fish.  :2thumbs: I am jealous! :droolingbounce:

That sucks, with the shifter on the CAN bus there isn't any way around using the CAN bus. Hopefully someone will come up with something......maybe researching mercedes tuners since it is a mercedes trans anyway? Or the Sprinter?

Standalone computer systems?
Bigstuff makes a computer that should work the drive by wire as well as the trans. Not sure about cost, but it would be the ultimate in tuneability http://www.bigstuff3.com/GEN4/Gen4.html. Any cam or turbos you could want. The AEM can also work transmissions solenoids for certain cars, wonder if it could be adapted for the chrysler? It will do the motor by itself. www.aempower.com Chrysler stuff is very proprietary and hard to figure out for the aftermarket. I would not wait on them. I'm torn between a 6 or 5 speed manual or a 618/518 auto trans on the convertible.

Your Cuda just gets more and more amazing. :ylsuper:

I sent you an email to your Yahoo blog.  I was asking if you had the seats mounted yet and if so, if you could share some pictures of the seat brackets.  I've been building my own brackets for a set of Recaro seats and I'd be interesting in seeing what your brackets look like.

Thanks,
Travis
