Nice work Travis.
My friend has one of those body nail weld guns he's going to let me use. Good pics for me to see before I do that to mine.

A g-machine should pull 1. G in acceleration, braking force, and lateral G..

I know how you feel I think my car came from the same school of hard knocks. Body work is an art form unto itself one I don't really want to ever master.  :swear: Bondo on Bondo off.  :eek4: Looking real good

Thanks for the comments all, I appreciate the support.   :2thumbs:

Yeah on the stud gun, once the studs were in place, I found it helpful to lock the slide hammer on the stud.  Then use a pulling force on the slide hammer/stud with one hand then lightly tap down the high spots around the dent with the other hand.  On my doors because it's a 72 it has the door crash bar reinforcements so I couldn't get a dolly on the back side of the dent.  Anyway just another way you can use the stud welder and slide hammer.

Yeah I hear you conv340.  My doors are starting to look like that.  I think part of my problem was not applying the body filler over a large enough area, meaning extending beyond the dents themselves.  It's also a pain trying to make the main body line look nice.  I bet it really sucks on a Challenger.  All professional auto body guys must have Popeye forearms because after 4 or 5 hours of sanding, I'm really sore... either that or I'm a wimp.   :pullinghair:

Yep.  I'm going to copy most of what he did (moving the lower links in, bracing across the two upper bar mounts and bracing the shock mounts).  He came up with a pretty slick setup!

Me too. I am glad he did it first. I am also planning on welding all of the brackets onto the car. I know it makes it more permanent but it is so much safer. I am usng coil-overs, I forgot are you?

Yeah I'm with you, I'll be welding as well.  I wouldn't trust it with just the self tapping bolts to hold everything together.  Yep coil overs as well from Bill Reilly.

How are you reinforcing the two upper bar mounts that attach behind the seat? Please show a pic if you have one.
