Rick, yeah I wish my car is ready but it still has a LONG way to go. Maybe 2009, but more likely 2010. I've been a long time lurker on Mopax so I've read all about the Spring Fling Speed Festival.
Trust me, it's tops on my list of things to do once my Cuda is done!!!!
For an update, my Cuda is actually at Comp Chassis which is a shop in Glendale. So far they've installed a 4-point roll bar, through the floor subframe connectors, mini-tub and I had them weld in the Air Ride 4-bar plus add custom bracing to it (copied conv340's install). The final thing remaining is to replace the drivers side rear frame rail (it was crushed/mangled). So I just ordered the new Goodmark rear frame rail from Mopardave and once that arrives and it's installed my car will be done.
So since my car is up there, I've been cleaning up and stripping the paint from the other body parts I haven't touched yet (front fenders, front and rear valance). I spent today stripping all the old, dirty undercoating from the front fenders. After doing the whole underside of the car, I thought I was done with that crappy job except I had forgotten about the fenders. Since I'm going to end up re-applying some sort of undercoating, I kept thinking I should have just left them alone.
Oh well, at least I know everything will be clean and with a fresh epoxy primer.
Here's one of my Cuda outside the shop next to a Grand National that they were going to be working on (there was also another 8-second GN inside the shop getting a full cage/back half, plus a full race 65 Coronet).
