Well hoping this works out as a profession, so instead of doing cars on my own, I'm starting to work for others.  So heres the first one!

Its a 70 challenger rt, u-code 440 car, auto on the column, factory ac, sublime with a white top and black and white interior.  I haven't looked the fender tag over, but its a CA car and was shipped out here and will be driven back.  Hoping to have it ready for Carlisle and either drive it out or have the owner drive it, if things work out.

The car as you can see has been customized :roflsmiley:  Someone hacked the quarters/wheel houses for the flares, added 3 bars to the grill and square headlights.  The side lights on the roof  Actually kind of grows on ya, but I prefer stock!  The car is very solid, has torque boxes, believe its matching numbers, block is stamped f440 and hp2.  Body will be back to original, ac added, but the owner may go stroker with e-heads, I'd prefer more stock being a pretty rare car.  It has some type of green stripe also, apparently a 1 of 1 car.  Well heres the pics, I'm not starting on it officially til next week, still working on my 70.

I have tons of pics, but will keep this thread pretty well updated.  Welcome to the show

The owner is I remember right kind of stumbled accross it one day playing softball.  I can't remember the whole story, but lucky find and got it for what I'd say was a good price for what it is.

LOL the grill, actually doesn't seem too hacked, but til I pull it apart some more I won't know.  However no leather :roflsmiley:

Theres a 65 belvedere, the black one, also a 64 polara, both post cars.  Theres alot more, I tried to make sure not too many showed up, none are for sell at the time  :villagers:

I think its a green side stripe, like the pink with pink one I saw posted here at some point from Carlisle.

Good find!  Are the hood inserts filled with something, or is it just my imagination?

Inserts are replaced with sheetmetal screwed in :roflsmiley:  This is the first non rust belt car I ever worked on, removed the front clip today.  Its soooo nice to work on a car that the bolts arent all rusted in place and bumper bolts came out easy!  Removed the trim and some odds and ends... pics to follow soon.  I want it tore down to the shell with suspension and motor/trans by mid next week.

I think the side lights  would have looked a lot cooler if they were slanted in the opposite direction, to follow the roof line.

Heres some pics, some of it needs more work than expected, but still a very solid car... darn vinyl tops!  The front window opening will need replaced on top like mine.  Couple pics as of tonight.

Keeping the dash and motor/trans in til I can get mine out of the way.  Sure is nice with it driveable!

Well not much more progress today, but ready to pull the motor/trans and get them rebuilt.  Heres a good shot to show the original color.

Looking good! The rims seems to be bit exotic  My dad had almost same looking on our old "gipsy" style mercedes (w123). Seems like the floors are in good condition, how about the drip rails?
