I think it would be better off in a museum, where it could be kept under special conditions, as an example of "What not to do in a time capsule". It's just a piece of crap now, so who's going to want it anyway?
They should have put it in a stainless steel container that was then welded shut and pressure tested. Might be a suggestion for anyone that decides to build another time capsule.
I am really disappointed, however, that it did not come out in pristine condition. That would have been awesome.
Maybe Boyd Coddington can do a special show and restore it.
