Just a word to the wise.  Jims Auto Parts has a bad reputation for awful customer service and inflated shipping charges.  When looking for Mopar parts, it might be worth your time to find another vendor who sells what you are looking for before taking a chance with Jims!  :2cents:

Doing some searching & found this listing for FRAM fuel caps. Interesting that the 3-digit # is the same that Jims uses, Only thing I have not been able to find a cross reference for these parts. Fram #s PRG-771 & PRG-783 $8.99, Jims #s GC-771  GC-783 $49.95.

a search on Amason retruns a Motorad MGC771 but shows unavailable, note again the 771.

don't know the answer but heres a couple things....

the 8.99 cap is plastic and may not fit under flip cap

mfg use the same part number to be similar to the orig part for easy reference

the one on e-bay is 39.99 plus 7 bucks to ship.....no returns.....

I guess everyone do your home work but I may still try Jims cap......

I have bought stuff in the past from Jim's and had to return/exchange and the lady who answered was crabby but I got what I needed.......hey I have dealt with lots of odd balls in the old car business so it just comes with the territory......

pay by a credit card and if they jerk you around.......charge back..........

Hey guys,  I am in the same boat.  Looking for a locking gas cap to fit under the flip top.  I did find a website that offers locking gas caps for 70, 71 Challengers and up.  Check it out and let me know what you guys think....http://www.rockauto.com.  Just follow the simple instructions to find your year, model, etc.  Plus this guys seems to be a whole lot cheaper.....just sure if the caps are plastic or what.  Let me know..    Twiles.

http://www.motoradusa.com/aboutus/index.html

The Locking Caps from Jim's are made by Motorad and are repackaged and come in a small plastic ziplock bag.

Search the motoradusa.com website (Catalog) for local dealers and your car.

I saw the same gascap today in the Hardware Store for $18.99, it is listed as MGC-771 for a 1970 Challenger 440 with Flip Fuel Cap.

Jim's number is GC-771 @ $54.95! Note the similar number and price difference.

I also searched (on Motoradusa.com) for a 1969 Charger gascap, it's listed, and probably lots more gascaps there for other Mopar models.

Thought I would pass this on.
