Drag Car Needed For New XV Project
« on: December 28, 2006 - 07:23:57 AM »
XV Motorsports is about to begin engineering the development of a drag race package for Mopar Musclecars. We are seeking a volunteer vehicle that can consistently makes passes in the high 10’s to mid 11 second range and has been run for a number of years. The car cannot be tubbed and must have leaf springs in the stock location. The car can be a B or E body and must be 100% ready to run.

We will be making a number of changes to the car and evaluating the results. At the end of the project, the volunteer will be able to keep the final combination of parts we install. The car will need to look good as we will get this covered in a magazine article; so your car would likely be in the magazine. You’ll also be the first on the track with products we will be releasing.

We plan on doing the engineering work on this project in the early spring and would like to identify the car to be used now.

Please email us from our website or give us a call if you think your car would be a good candidate for this project. www.xvmotorsports.com

That's a mighty generous offer you have there.  :ylsuper: I'm not sure if my car could go that fast downhill though.

Wish I was going that route! and...didn't live in alaska haha. I have a buddy who absolutely wants to donate his car to you guys, but He's in Alaska too.

It's a 69 RoadRunner 383 airgrabber. He wants to dragrace badly!

Anyway, good luck finding it!

Our city / county just shot down our chance at a drag strip, again.  It would upset the four or five neighbors and could harm the surrounding wildlife.  Plus, as one opponent put it, "one drop of oil can spoil a million gallons of rain water".  I just keep thinking that surly we are still screwed from that whole Exxon Valdies thing.  Funny, I thought oil did not evaporate?
