71 cuda update (Merry Christmas to me)
« on: December 29, 2006 - 09:32:46 PM »
As a reminder I have included pictures of the car when I got it just over a year ago. I decided that this car needed a 6 pack and looked what should up today from UPS! I am so excited and can't wait to install it!

I got it from Bill Kay and it cost me something like 2400 shipped. It is totally complete except for the air cleaner decals. The air cleaner is all steel, comes with fuel lines, throttle cable, intake bolts, intake tray, intake bolts, throttle return spring, coil bracket, I mean it has everything. The small block 6 pack is like 1800 I think. I purchased it though their ebay store, and the only problem I had was that they don't have paypal, and so you have to call them or go to their website to pay with credit card if that is how you want to pay, which normally isn't a big deal, but the only credit card they accept with a billing address at a PO Box (which all of my credit cards go to a PO Box) is American Express (which I was paying with an American Express, so that wasn't a big issue for me). Overall it was good doing business with them. I think West Oaks is like 30 bucks cheaper but not a big difference. I'll give an update on how the install goes.

When the flares were installed the quarters and the wheel houses were both cut on both sides, so I had the privellage of replacing those.

Here are some pics of the install so far. There are 2 3/8 inch ports on the center carb passenger side, are those for the breather and PCV valve? I think they are but not 100%

I'm not a six-pack expert, unless we are talking beer.  The port that you haven't connected yet, does indeed go to the PCV valve. I'm not sure about the one going to the breather though.  :clueless:

Boy the Cuda looks great compared to the first picture. If the six pack is set up correctly you are going to love it. I sure miss my 440 6-barrel Cuda.

Yeah why you take them flares off?  If you get rid of the foot print gas pedal I want it!

Sorry the car did not have a foot gas pedal. Unfortunately I have been unable to get much work done since I have been in jury selection for the past 2 days. (got out of it but lost 2 days) I did get my 15 inch wheels and tires today, so I will be mounting those tomorrow in place of the 14's that are on it now, and I received my air cleaner decals today and got those installed. Here is a picture with the aircleaner on. I should have the car running tomorrow.
