Challenger Assembly Line Marks
« on: December 30, 2006 - 06:15:40 PM »
Yesterday my friend and I decided we would do some work on my '70 Challenger RTSE and we found some assembly line marks under all the black paint that somebody had sprayed on the backing plates.  The first picture is of the driver's side backing plate; it has a white dot up at the top.  The passenger side backing plate (not pictured) had two yellow dots up at the top.  The second picture is of the Dana gears.  I'll post some pictures later of how we finished it.

Is this thread for others to post their assembly line marks too?

Sure why not? Here is the way it looks after putting it back together.
