I posted the pics in the members restoration section under 71 cuda update (merry christmas to me) and I have been stuck injury selection the past couple of days so I have been unable to finish the install. Should be running this afternoon though. I'll keep you posted. Here's the link to the pictures.

The 2x4bbl induction systems do not produce as much power or mileage as a 6-pack system. Not on a 440 anyway.

I got my 6-pack modified by "Six Packs to Go" or whatever they were called. This makes the secondaries fully manual. Normally this would kill the carbs performance but the modification also adds acceleration pumps and squirters to the outer carbs. So they behave like the secondaries on a 850dp carb. Except of course a 6-pack flows equivalent to a 964cfm Holley.

My engine makes well over 500hp. Maybe as much as 540hp. Yet I get 13mpg (15.6 US Gallons) out of it on the highways. This is mainly due to the very small size of the primary (centre) throttle blades. And the GV unit.

The whole induction makes very good power up to 6500rpm yet because of the dual plane design remains good at low speeds too. Throttle response is amazing. Like a wild animal with no lag at all.

Worth considering if you ever want to add something a bit more interesting to your car next time you get bored. :) If they are still in business of course.

Has anyone tried the Barry Grant 6 Shooter carb package yet? Seems like a good idea, and they claim a significant HP increase over the factory carbs.

those Look nice , I like the idea of the accelerator pump on all carbs , I hope they work better than some of the Demon carbs I have worked on in the past though

I converted mine to a sixpack about 3 years ago. I'm glad I did. More "wow" factor and it performs better and sounds better. I used a MP manifold and new carbs fom Holley. Works great.
