Dad had a '70 sport satellite 383/727 on the column.  Only mods were headers, never lost.
Dad's cousin had a '69 coronet, now has a '69 runner 383/4 spd, all #'s match, original rallye green paint
Dad's other cousin now has a '70 runner, all #'s match 383/727

The reason for all the b bodies is because Dad's uncle sold them at the dealer  :2thumbs:

Now I'm living my own legacy  :bananasmi

Nope, just Mopar wagons: '68 Fury wagon then a '74 Chrysler Town & Country.

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Dad bought the used '69 Newport back in '71 for the family 2nd car.  4 door 383, like driving on a cloud.  Had it for over 5 years and then my Aunt drove it for another several years.
Later my dad bought a Dodge Diplomat with a slant and a 4 speed that he ordered from the factory for gas economy.

Duh, I fergot!  My Dad had a '69 Newport too!  Cream yellow, black top, 383, 2 door, 2 very long doors.  Loved the nose and tail of that car!

My Dad later had a Diplomat cousin, a Chrysler 5th Ave.  I later put a Weiand 2p inatake, Holley carb, custom side exhaust on it.

Not quite muscle Mopar but a wanna be....

It's funny how your dad could influence your early choice of what brand of car you like. My dad was a chevy man. First car I remember was his 56 Belair-then some impala wagons ect. When I got my licence at 14 I was looking for a chevy.  Tried to find a 56 chevy for my first car but ended up with a 65 impala SS. Was'nt untill a freind in high school bought a yellow T/A  that I even looked at a mopar but soon after I found my cuda (1977) and have been a mopar fan ever since.  Still love those early shoe box chevies tho.

My dad didn't have any cool cars in my life span.  He had a cool 78 Bronco though.  But we had that Hemi in the garage that I always thought was cool.

Came from a GM family, Dad worked for them 30+ years.  Never owned a Mopar, but I do remember test driving one in 69 - 70 that had a sticker on the windows stating that "lowering the windows at speeds in excess of 150 MPH would be hazardous" or some such.

Hehehe,  you can bet I'll be making a couple for the Challenger some day.

My Dad was a GM guy. He had a 57 Belair, a 64 GTO and a lot of other Pontiacs. When I was 16 he took me to the Pontiac dealer to look for a used car. I fell in love with a 67 GTO Vert, tri-power car $800. My Dad wouldn't let me buy it cause he said I would kill myself in it. He wanted me to buy a 69 Catalina. :puke: It was my money so bullhead that I am , I wouldn't buy anything. So when I was 18 , I bought a 71 340 Wedge Duster from a friend. I took it home, now remember, my Dad hated Mopars. I wasn't even allowed to park it in the driveway. So a lot of years later, almost my whole family drives Mopar. :2thumbs:
