My parents had a 50s Ford ranch wagon and a 50s Ford pickup at one point. An 80s Ford escort. A GM car, Concours I believe it was. I believe it was basically a Nova. Then my mom had an 80s Honda Civic and now has a 90s Toyota Camry. My dad has had a 92 Dodge Caravan since the mid 90s. Before that he had a 70s or 80s Chevy truck (a Cheyenne I think). I just remember it was big, brown, and it had two gas tanks.

The only Mopars we've ever owned since I was born were our Dodge Caravans. I got one at the age of 17 and drove it till I moved to NC. Now I drive an Acura.

I'm saving for a 71 Barracuda though. :)

Since no one asked, What is a younger dog?  I'm seeing quite a range of ages here!    Anyways, my Mom had a 78 Aspen,74 Dart, and a Gold Duster.  She managed to window the /6 in the Duster, it still ran home for 15 miles.  She pulled in the driveway, parked, and asked me to take a look as there was a funny noise under the hood!  There was a 6" x 6" hole in the side! :roflsmiley:  I don't remember the fate of the Aspen, but the Dart saved her when some drunk guy hit her head on and she walked away.

...I figure at 55, I am an older dog....I just lay on the porch and lick my nutz, while the younger dogs go running by yipping and snifing butts... :roflsmiley:

LOL :2thumbs:

I'm 31 so I guess I'm still a younger dog.  My Mom is turning 47 this month though.

My dad liked Chevy trucks and ford tractors. We never had a Dodge until about '92, my older brother, now 31, found a Challenger with a 440 in it, he wanted to buy it and need a lil extra money my dad wouldn't help him out on it, but he bought it for himself and let him tool around in it every once in awhile.

From then on my folks started buying Mopars like crazy, 69 Charger R/t, a 71 Super Bee that my mom rode around in during high school (now it lives in Germany), approx. 27 e-bodies in various states (only R/T's, big block cars, GC 'cudas, and Rallye's). My first two cars were Challengers that kinda got handed down from the parents.

It is interesting because before they started the family thing they had them but then went to GM station wagons, vans and suburbans, that is until the re-awakening, so-to-speak. Now they drive a new Charger R/T Super Bee (basically a R/T w/ stickers and some interior niknak's) and a loaded Cummins and just sold the Crossfire SRT.

What is even more interesting is my mom had a Volare, my wife had a Volare for her first car. My parent’s first car together was a Duster; our first car was a duster (besides the Yukon Denali, but that isn't a car).

Dad bought a 69 Roadrunner brand new.  383 auto, fire engine red with a black viny top.  Sold that for a 72 Satellite Sebring, then sold that for a 78 Aspen.

My Grandfather only drove Mopar, from what my Dad tells me.

my dad only drove chevys.. I was a chevy fan and thought my first car was going to be a Camaro.. then my dad bought my mom a 67 hardtop cuda with a 273.. from then on I was a mopar fan... when I graduated from high school my dad took me down to the local plymouth dealer and I pick up a 70 lime light barracuda with a 318..  no way would he let me get a high performance cuda.. I did buy a 1974 Road Runner with a 440 when I graduated from college.. Three years ago I wanted to get a prowler ... the wife said no way.. its too ugly.. so I started looking for a 1970 340 cuda.. I found  my cuda on line from PJ's auto in Clearwater, Florida.. my wife and I take the cuda to the local car shows in South Florida.. it seems like there is on every weekend here..

I guess I was lucky.  I grew up in Mopars. I always remember my Grandfather driving a 63 Imperial convertible.  He later bought a 73 New Yorker and had both until he passed away.  The 440 out of the New Yorker is in my 71 Challenger vert.  My Dad always had several Mopars around.  He drag raced a 63 Plymouth regularly.  The pic is of me with it.  He pulled the 383 and put a 413 in it.  My mother used a Dart vert for a daily.  For going out we had a 300 F vert.   I remember that thing dumping a timing chain and shooting flames out between the hood and the fenders on both sides.  From there we moved on to a 70 Grand Spalding Sport Swinger 383.  later as I was getting bigger my parents wanted a newer car with a larger interior so they bought a 72 Road Runner.  Boy they hated that car.  Dad hated the 400 and Mom the manual steering.  The 70's cars were starting to become popular in 1980 so Dad bought a rough Hemi Superbird.  He never did anything with it and traded it as a downpayment for a 79 300.  It was at that time he bought my 71 vert for me as a 16 yr old birthday gift.  In the 80's everyone hung out around my house.  There were always 4 or more Ebodys around. In the 80's my parents went through the 4 cyl Shelbys and then turned to Caddys.  Now my Dad drives a new Caddy vert.

I forgot to add the rash of Stealths my dad had. They are just barely Mopar to me but he's had three TT AWD 6 speeds and several of the 24 valve 3.0L's. Those cars are stupid quick but they always get broke.

When I was 2 Mom bought a brand new 1969 Charger R/T, we've been a Mopar family ever since. Except an 87 IROC camaro with a tuned port 350 my mom owned for a couple of years. But I have worked at a Mopar Dealership for over 22yrs now.
