'72 Challenger taillamp sockets

Hey gang.

Didn't see an electrical section in the "fix it" portion of the forum...  I have a friend with a '72 Challenger and he's having issues with his rear taillamps..... Seems the sockets are just plain worn out and can't keep a good electrical connection with the bulb.. Are there any vendors out there that sell replacement sockets or is there a way to fix them? According to him, when you go to twist the bulb in, the whole socket housing rotates as well, hence the bulb loosing conductivity all the time......

I don't know if you can get replacement sockets or not, but you can get another wiring harness from Year One.

You can get them at any parts house.  If the ones you get have an extra electrical connection on it, use the connection to run a ground from the socket to the taillight housing.  Attach it to the housing where the housing attaches to the taillight panel of the car. Your problem will be solved.
