Hello again Dave.  I knew you had been down and out for a little while. I visit your site about 2-3 times a week.  Post some there too.  I remember when I first started on the PC that the Dave and Dianna site showed up.  I get a lot of good info from there and here too.  Glad you are better and  "getting out"  more now.  Your work looks great.  Keep all of us informed and as always post more pics.   David

It went STRAIGHT over my head. :grinyes:

And I sure wouldn't call my Challenger "cum-fa-ta-ble" with that stiff uprated suspension and lumpy cam.

Well of course with 3 months on my sick bed I have not got very far since I last posted. But with luck the engine will soon be in the car at least and I will have more room around the car to work when I feel better.

I am going to raise the front of the car via the bumper brackets and slide the engine and trans under (minus induction to lower the height).

But I can't find the bolts for the bumper brackets! I am starting to wonder if I used those to fix the engine to the stand? Oh well I guess I will find out once I get the engine off the stand and on the k-frame.

Thanks!

That is the ProMax carb -6AN fuel line kit you see there.

I did try their billet air cleaner too because Ben Gorman there told me "I run this air filter setup on our 499" all the time with no problems".

When I measured it I found the filter only has 70.5 square inches of area. That is almost half the size of the stock filter and will only flow 423cfm!

Looking at the car at the moment you would think I hadn't done much since my last post. But I have honest! mainly stuff you don't see. Like chassis mods and a whole lot of plumbing. ;D

I made this air cleaner lid and modified the cleaner base too so that it clears everything. Filter is 3-inches tall. I need to take a few mm off the top of the intake for the right edge of the air cleaner to clear the brace across the underside of the hood buldge completely.
